Branding Styles a choisi de s’arrêter aujourd’hui sur le défilé d’une jeune créatrice londonienne prometteuse : Romina Karamanea. C’est dans un bar-club branché de l’East End que s’est tenu le show et a pris immédiatement des accents futuristes. L’empreinte culturelle du film Metropolis de Fritz Lang s’est faite sentir dans l’ensemble de la collection, démontrant une fois de plus le talent de Romina Karamanea pour les coupes, mais aussi un réelle recherche artistique et culturelle. Le fil/tuyau semble avoir été un élément clé dans la construction des pièces et apparaît pour l’observateur attentif comme une métaphore de la respiration artificielle ou un chemin de circulation d’énergie. On peut bien entendu débattre de ces interprétations de femme robot, on ne peut néanmoins nier la force qui se dégage des vêtements et qui offre à celle qui les porte une assurance et une élégance qui ne passera pas inaperçue.

Branding Styles has today chosen to focus on the catwalk show of a promising young designer in London: Romina Karamanea. It took place in a trendy bar in the East End which immediately took on a futuristic accent. Cultural references of the film Metropolis by Fritz Lang have been felt throughout the collection, demonstrating once again the talent of Romina Karamanea for dress cuts, but also a real and cultural research. The wire/pipe appears to have been a key element in the construction of the pieces and appears to the careful observers as a metaphor for artificial respiration or a path for the movement of energy. One can of course discuss these interpretations as “woman robot”; however one cannot deny the power that emerges from the clothing, which provides to the wearer, a confidence and elegance that will not go unnoticed.
